Presentation & Biography

Luminița Trifan is a lawyer, clinical psychologist, mediator and trainer of mediators, being one of the founders of the Mediation Center in Craiova.

Luminița has been successfully active in the field of family law and civil law since 1997 and is trained in communication and analysis of human behaviour (IPA-Interactional pattern Analysis) in conflicting relationships and contexts. As a clinical psychologist and mediator at the same time, she has the right temperament to communicate with people who face extreme emotions.

She had the opportunity to be trained as a mediator by experts from Washington DC, in a pilot program conducted by the US State Department through the US Embassy in Romania, together with the Romanian Ministry of Justice and the Dolj Bar Association, and then as a trainer of mediators and trainer of trainers in mediation within the same project.
She then obtained several certificates attesting her training in advanced mediation techniques, having as trainers American and British experts (The Lord Slynn of Hadley European Law Foundation and CMI).

She specializes in mediations involving family relationships, divorces, property, contracts, commercial cases and other complex situations in the field of civil law and considers that she has recorded the best results in team mediations, such as co-mediations made together with her partner Constantin Adi Gavrilă, the manager of the Mediation Center from Craiova.
As a trainer of the Mediation Center in Craiova, Luminița participated in projects developed in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), but also with the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth.

She trained over 600 future mediators according to Law no. 192/2006 and is a national level evaluator and examiner in Romania.
